Vocal Visions

Learn to sing jazz or improve upon your current ability. We will cover a variety of topics including selecting keys, counting off songs, choosing songs, understanding various rhythmic feels, song form, intros, and endings, ear training exercises, introduction to improvisation, communicating with a jazz rhythm section, phrasing, and interpretation. Singers will learn a few typical jazz songs and be asked to prepare at least one using an accompaniment track with approval from the instructor.
