Ana Gazzola:

Ms. Ana Gazzola started playing the guitar and singing at the age of 5 in Caxias do Sul, a small town, in southern Brasil. Ms. Gazzola began her professional career singing as an opening act for the world famous bolero's singer Lucho Gatica in his South American tour.

Ms. Gazzola moved to Rio de Janeiro where soon became headline vocalist for the next three years at "CALIGOLA" the most famous jazz club in Brazil located in the heart of Ipanema Beach.

Ms. Gazzola toured South America with several of Brazil's leading musicians, including BADEN POWELL and LUIS CARLOS VINHAS, vocalizing to sold-out houses.

Ms. Gazzola has toured extensively, enchanting audiences with her caressing tones in Europe, Asia and especially North America, where she has lived for the past 14 years.

Ms. Gazzola, being fluent in English and Portuguese has written many of the songs she performs.

Sonia Santos

Ms. Sonia Santos, afro-brazilian jazz vocalist, has been an electrifying symbol of Brazilian Popular Music for many years. The cultural influences of African rhythms intertwined with an exotic Brazilian beat, was essential in creating the vibrant sounds of Sonia Santos.

Ms. Santos began her musical career in 1977, when she stared in the "Brazilian Follies" at the Hotel National in Rio de Janeiro. Using her artistic and coordinating
abilities, Ms. Santos went on to produce her own show
"Brazilian Summer" sponsored by VARIG Brazilian Airlines.

The quality and style of her interpretative performances on stage have been enthusiastically received on six continents.

Ms. Sonia Santos has also garnered rave reviews for her creative brilliance in theatre and film. She has toured extensively throughout the world and has made Los Angeles her home for the past 14 years.

Brasil Brazil Show is an invigorating, magical experience comprised of internationally renowned performers. Featuring  Brazilian singers, Ana Gazzola and Sonia Santos, this show delivers the fervor, enthusiasm and excitement of popular Brazilian music with a variety of styles, rhythms and faces of this colorful and tropical culture. With a variety of unique, authentic percussion instruments, the audience is both entertained and educated about Brazil.

The band is outfitted in bright yellow and green costumes and the production has the joyful feel of Carnaval. The  music, tinged with jazz and spiced with Latin and African drumming, creates an uplifting experience of awesome proportions.
